Randomness

So I forgot to mention that Matt had a birthday. We celebrated it in Idaho with my family before we left.

Marc with his aunt Abby and Uncle Alan. He loved spending time with them.

Marc is so stinken cute. I had the camera out and he started laughing and posing for pictures. Even though he is cute I have made a big discovery: I can not child proof my house, I have to go even further and Marc proof it. Our fridge has bunjee cords holding it closed, all doors have to be shut at all times, he can climb onto anything, and those little things you put in plugs are hard for me to get out, but not Marc (see picture below).

Our Relief Society is having an activity where we make 10 copies of a game and switch with everyone else and come home with 10 new games. I made I Spy Games out of peanut butter jars and rice. They were much easier than the fabric ones, and I think they turned out pretty cute. I will post any of the great games I get.

Our bathroom is designed terribly so we have made some adjustments that have really helped with the storage issue. Under the vanity is completely open and has no shelves. I could not figure out how to stack stuff efficiently. Then one day I had a stroke of genius. We have this table that always seams to be in the way, so Matt cut the legs down and trimmed the sides and it fits perfectly under the sink. It has helped tons.

I also made a curtain to hide everything behind. I just stapled it under the vanity and now it looks good even when it isn't!!

Matt gave me these flowers. I love how flowers brighten everything up. Thanks Matt. It has felt like Spring the last couple of days and we love it. We can't wait until it is really Spring and we can play outside.

Thanks for enduring my rambling and hope you have a great day.

I'm Back

Sorry I have been so bad about posting. When I don't post you know that I am busy!! We had a wonderful Christmas break in Idaho. We were there three weeks, and loved every minute of it. My sister Marianne got married on the 19. The wedding was wonderful, and they are so happy together. I am now a proud aunt to their first
"child", a puppy named Skip. Christmas came and we had a wonderful time together. Marc loved it, he wasn't quite sure why we got up at 5:30 to open presents, but he soon got the hang of it.

Some other fun events were:
Acting out the Nativity. Marc is in the manger holding baby Jesus, he is supposed to be a sheep!

Coloring with Grandpa in the big coloring book he got.

Singing on Christmas Eve at Grandma Schiess' house

Christmas Caroling

Playing games

Visiting the diary with my Grandpa Cannon

Dehorning cows

Most of all just being cute!!!

We hope you all had a great Christmas as well. 2009 was a great year, and we look forward to another great one!!
