Life in the Harris Home

Well tomorrow is Marc's 6th month birthday. We are not having a grand celebration, but I thought I would mention it. Marc is now 20 lbs 14 oz and 27 inches long. He is not a baby anymore and has a fun personality. He gives great hugs and is fun to be around. He is working on sitting up, and does pretty well, but is not quite there. One of the cutest things he does is cross his feet when he sits down and when he is eating. Marc also got a new car seat. He was getting to heavy to carry in his other one, so we decided it was time. We love Marc and are grateful for him.

Matt have enjoyed being able to go snowboarding a few times this winter. He has had some fun trips with his dad and also some friends from Washington. I even went once with him and had a great time. Matt has applied to schools for Physical Therapy. We are still waiting to see if he will get into any of them. Hopefully we will know by the end of April. We will keep you all posted. He graduates on April 10, and is counting down the days. He has started working construction again, and we hope that job will continue through the summer. He will also be working at a physical therapy office, so he should be busy.

I am just at home with Marc and am grateful for the opportunity to be with him. I am excited for spring to really be here (and for the snow to stop coming) so that we can go on walks together. Marc loves being outside, and I love how good he is when we are on walks, so it works for both of us! We just got a jogging stroller and I can't wait to be able to use it. I am excited for the fun summer we have planed, and hope to be able to see lots of family and friends.

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween together. Marc had a great time, but slept through most of it. He was close to filling out his costume (we think it is a puppy) but he didn't quite make it. I give him about a week and he will have out grown it!!!

We went to our ward trunk or treat where Matt and Marc made the rounds. They ended up with lots of candy. Marc was actually awake for this portion of the night, however I doubt he will remember it.

After that we went with some friends and their kids around their neighborhood. We had a system that the kids would tell us what kind of candy the house was giving out and if it was good (chocolate) either Matt or I would take Marc (who was sleeping) up and get some candy. It was a good night and I think that Marc had a good first Halloween.

Halloween Party

Our ward had a Halloween party tonight. It was fun. There were lots of activities and yummy treats. I think my favorite part was watching all the little kids running around. I am excited for Marc to be at that age. There were some cute costumes. Our costumes took some thought, but once people got it they thought it was pretty clever. Marc has a different costume that we will break out next week. See if you can get the cleverness of the costumes.

Here is a close up of Marc.

Ok for those of you who didn't get it:

Matt is a Welcome MATT
Katherine is a KAT
Marc is a Question MARC

So it is a little lame, but we had fun.

2 Year Anniversary

Matt and I have been married for 2 years now. I can't believe how fast time has flown. On Tuesday Matt had to take a test and I knew that we wouldn't get to do much to celebrate. On Monday we were talking and I asked Matt what he wanted for dinner the next night. He told me that he didn't think he would be home until 8 or 9 so he would just grab something to eat on campus. Well the pregnancy hormones are still in my blood and I said, "That's okay, I'll just eat leftovers by myself" and I started to cry. Matt was quick to console me and we decided that we would go out to eat on Wednesday instead. That night when he got home he brought me flowers and ice cream. The checkout lady had asked him what he had done wrong, and he told her it was just his anniversary. We did go out to eat and we got to go alone thanks to Marianne watching Marc for us. I had a good anniversary and I am thankful for Matt and all he does for me. We have had a wonderful 2 years and I know there are many more to come.
