We had a fun little family trip to Coeur D’Alene. We went on a little hike, walked on the floating boardwalk, and got french fries for Marc. We had a great time.

Worst Day Ever
I had the great idea to go on a fun family outing, however I didn’t really do my homework and our original plan failed miserably. So we threw together a new outing to eat our picnic lunch and ended up driving to a State Park. The drive took forever on windy roads and Matt was determined to drive to the top of the mountain. So we got as far as we could go and then went back down the mountain to find a picnic table. We got out of the car and it was freezing cold. We tried eating our picnic lunch and Matt lasted about two minutes till he took off for the car. I decided we would take a picture and finish our picnic in the car. It wasn’t really the worst day ever and we all had great attitudes and it’s a fun memory!
Crazy kids
We have been having an awesome summer together. We go on several walks a day to survive, but I love my boys and the fun times we have.
We had strawberries for breakfast one morning, and as you can see Luke loved them. I was taking pictures of him and in that short amount of time Marc dumped out the salt and pepper and was building castles. He tends to struggle when my attention shifts to Luke and has to do something to get me focused back on him.
We have been through many popsicles, been to the park many times, and love being outside. We love Spokane’s summers and will be sad to leave, but life will go on with these crazy boys!
Happy 4th
Parks
Spokane has tons of awesome parks. So with Matt being home more we have gone on several family outings to the park. Here are a few of our adventures.
Riverfront Park is right in the middle of town and Matt hates it because 1) you have to pay to park and 2) there is goose poop everywhere. Marc loves it because 1) they have a giant red wagon slide and 2) there is a carousel. I convinced Matt to come with us and we had a great time. Marc really felt that he needed to wear his winter hat even though we were all in shorts. It was not worth a battle, so he won! Matt’s brother came to visit so Matt consented to go back to the park and Marc was thrilled. Luke got to ride the carousel this time and looked so grown up sitting on the horse all by himself.
Manito park is by our house and has beautiful flower gardens. The boys don’t really appreciate them so we don’t get to spend much time there. They did however enjoy rolling down a hill, actually they kinda struggled getting down the hill, but we had fun! ![]()
