Project Finished!!

Since Marc now has a crib he also needed crib sheets. Well I was not going to pay $10 for a new sheet and I couldn't find any used ones, so I decided to just make them. I found some sheets on sale for $3 each and got 2 of them. I used the extra material to make a curtain and a ruffle for the crib. This project took way longer than it should have because I could only sew when Marc was asleep and if I tried to sew when he was asleep he woke up. But I did get it done, and it was very simple to make the crib sheet. So if you need crib sheets don't pay $10, let me know and I will help you make some of your own.

So really we don't beat our child, it may just appear that way. Matt and Marc were playing together and Marc dove out of Matt's arms and landed on the wooden arm of our futon. He cried for a little while and then I realized he had hit his cheek. We felt bad and I just hope he doesn't have a black eye in the morning.

Visit to the Conservatory

We have a conservatory very close to our house and we finally went to see it. It was so cool. I love flowers and can't wait to have a yard so we can have some of our own. It was a good family outing.

Marc loved touching the poky cactus.

We tried going on a little walk after looking at the plants, but Marc found his pockets and had to put every rock that he found in them. We made it about 2 feet before his pocket was full. Our walk was not very productive, but we did come home with lots of rocks.

Beautiful Spring

The weather in Spokane has been beautiful. We have had days in the upper 50, I'm talking no jacket days. It has been so nice to be able to go on walks again. The only problem is that Marc now thinks that he should be able to walk too and we don't quite get as far as I would like. We usually end up trying to knock on doors, and get into strangers cars!

Marc has loved playing out on our little deck. We put up netting so that toys or he didn't end up on the ground below. The only problem is that he has tried to climb it. Today there were two ducks right outside in the pond. It was fun to see them up so close.

More of Marc

This video is for my Grandma Schiess to show her that her piano abilities have been passed through the generations. Marc is obviously a child prodigy as you can see in this video.

This is what happens when I let Marc help me "cook". This morning as we were making pancakes he was helping me put the flour away and the lid came off the container and we dropped it. We, and the kitchen, were covered in flour. Sorry I don't have a picture I thought it was best to get cleaned up rather than preserve the memory.

And of course I can't leave with out saying once again, isn't my child adorable?

Such a Talented Family

Our ward had a talent show which was lots of fun.
Matt sang a song with the Elders Quorm.

I played the piano for the primary, and displayed some baby blankets I made.

Marc ran around, ate lots, and fell off a chair twice.

So you can see we are a very talented family!
