We have been working to refinish our kitchen table and here are the results! I am happy with how it turned out even though it is no where near perfect. It’s amazing what some paint and a little (or lot) of time can do.

Marc is 5!!!
I can’t believe Marc is 5, he has grown up way to fast. ![]()
We started out the party a little early on Wednesday Marc opened a few presents which ended up being a new swimsuit, goggles, and diving toys. So what did we do? We went swimming in Jackson. Marc was so excited and couldn’t wait to get swimming. First we went to the ski resort and rode the tram up to the top. It was green and a little rainy at the bottom, but at the top it was freezing and snowing. We didn’t up there long and John screamed the whole way down because he was cold. It was fun and the boys did like it, except for the cold part. I am afraid we are in for a long winter.
Marc requested that Matt make him a pirate cake and I was more than happy to let Matt take over. He found a cake online and went to work. He did a great job and Marc loved it.![]()

We finished up the festivities on Friday and had a family in the ward over to help us eat all the cake. We love Marc and are grateful to have him in our family.

Twins
Marc and Luke have matching noses, Luke crashed on his bike, and Marc fell while camping. Not the best look for them, but we will still keep them!
Here are a few random pictures of the boys.
We had cherries and Marc painted his face with them, and Luke did magic tricks. Where’s the cherry… Here it is!
Marc is still Marc, crazy as can be. He is growing up so fast and is a great helper.
Luke has become quite the child, talking really brings out a personality. I think these days he likes ranch and reading on the pot!
John has morphed from a baby into a kid. He is into everything, always wants to do what the big kids are doing, loves electronics, and can throw a great tantrum. Still he is a fun kid and we love him.
New House
We are in the process of buying a new house, and we are excited to finally be settled (I hope!!!). It is a really old house and with that comes character and fun things to fix. I am excited to decorate, Matt is overwhelmed by all my great ideas, and the boys don’t really know what’s going on! Here are a few pictures of the house, maybe one day I will have great before and after pictures.
Water Slide
I got a few sleds from a garage sale and Marc was bound and determined to build a water slide like grandpa’s so he could use the sleds. The only difference is Grandpa’s water slide is 150 ft and Marc’s was 5 ft. Still it kept them entertained for awhile and they loved it. John especially loves water and I can’t keep him out of it.
Matt’s races
I have been terrible at taking pictures this summer. Matt ran a race this weekend and I took the camera, but the battery was dead, so I have nothing to show for it. This race was crazy it was a 25k (15.5 miles) race up over two mountains. Matt did great, but I have never seen him so beat after a race. He ended up 5th overall but he’s not sure it was worth it! In July Matt ran a half marathon. He did great in that one too, and won his age division. I did take my camera so here are a few pictures from that race. (Marc was the photographer so keep that in mind!)![]()

Fair Time
We went to the county fair last week. It wasn’t huge and Matt wasn’t impressed, but the boys had a great time and that’s what’s important right? The boys each got to choose one ride to go on and guess what they chose, the giant slide. I tried to convince them to ride the dragon or cars or something that moved, but they knew what they wanted I guess and they loved the slide. Here are a few pics.

Family Reunion Time
We had a great family reunion with Matt’s family at Lake Tahoe. The lake water was freezing so I actually never got in, but there was plenty to do and we loved being with family. My boys loved at the attention they got from their cousins, and I loved that I had free babysitting for a week! I wasn’t great at taking my camera with me but here are a few pictures.
These two loved the water…….
This one wanted nothing to do with it.
But he did like throwing rocks in the lake and lounging while dad paddled him around.
While Matt was eating his sandwich a goose came right up and took a bite out of it. You can see the perfect goose bite mark out of the sandwich.
They all loved playing with cousins
But I think the highlight was the park that we played at. Crazy we drove 13 hours to go to the park!
Luke is 3
Luke had a birthday at the beginning of June but due to craziness and a forgetful momma I didn’t get pictures up so here they are. ![]()

Luke is a great boy and we are glad he is part of our family. He is talking so well, and tries to keep up with marc, which keeps me running all day long. He loves the color red, and hot dogs, and loves to be held by mom. He loves running around and playing outside. We love you Luke!
