Christmas

We had a great time at my parents house for Christmas.  Everyone was there except my brother and sister who are on missions, but we got to Skype them which was awesome.  We played hard, all got sick, ate too much, got spoiled with gifts, played games, made memories, and loved being with family.  DSC01495

Playing games with Grandpa was a favorite

We wrote our goals for 2013 on paper lanterns and lit them.  It was awesome to see them float away.  I felt a little like Rapunzel in Tangled!!

My dad bought the grandkids their presents this year.  He got them Christmas camo t-shirts.  My boys love them.  My dad also got them all a stuffed animal that squeak, well come to find out they are dog chew toys, no wonder they were on sale!!

Christmas morning was lots of fun with all the kids and their excitement.  It was fun to be able to share in their excitement.

Utah

We went to Utah to see Matt’s parents who were visiting, saw Matt’s grandparents, went to temple square, and stayed with my sister Marianne.  It was a fun trip.  Here are some pictures. DSC01402DSC01451

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving with my family.   We went to my grandparents for Thanksgiving dinner, went shopping on Friday, and went Christmas tree hunting on Saturday.  It was a fun-filled trip and we are glad we get to go back in a few weeks for Christmas.

Christmas Tree Hunting

My boys had so much fun.  There wasn’t very much snow and it wasn’t very cold so it was awesome.  Luke played boo with grandpa while Marc went with the older kids and scouted out the best tree.  John spent the day in a make-shift play pen, a sled and he was happy as could be.  After hot dogs, smores, and hot chocolate we cut down a tree and headed home.

My Boys

I can’t believe how grown up my boys seem these days.  Marc just keeps amazing me at how big he is getting. I don’t feel old enough to have a big boy yet.  He certainly keeps us on our toes

Luke is now talking, and I am not sure why we wanted him to start.  He can be a sweet little thing, but when Marc is around and he isn’t getting his way, he can be a beast.  He is a great helper and lots of fun.

John has decided it’s time to move.  He gets into everything and he is fast.  It’s so cute to see him crawling and trying hard to stay up on his hands and knees.  He has also decided to try pulling himself up onto everything.  It won’t be long until we have another little guy running around the house!

Firestation

Marc’s preschool class went on a fieldtrip to the fire station this week.  They had lots of fun and loved exploring the truck.  They practiced Stop, Drop, and Roll and this is how my boys ended up, they completely failed.  It was fun to go and see my boys pretend to be all grown up, and be firefighters.

Temple Open House

We went to the Boise Temple Open house.  I had a grand vision of how it was going to be, but I forgot we have three boys under 4.  They were anything but reverent, but I still hope at least Marc will remember going and know how important the temple is and how blessed we are to have one so close.  We rode a shuttle to the temple and I think that was the boys favorite part.  Luke hated the booties they put on our feet and would not keep them on.  John needed a nap and cried the whole time.  Marc was really good.  Afterwards I asked him about going to the temple and he said, “Luke didn’t feel anything in his spirit because he wasn’t reverent.”  Even though it was crazy it was good to go and I am excited to be able to go back often.

Pumpkins & Trunk or Treat

DSC01225DSC01227DSC01224DSC01233DSC01242

We had a great time carving pumpkins.  Marc was so excited until we told him he had to reach in and pull the guts out, he didn’t like that idea at all.  So once the dirty work was done he joined back in.

We had lots of fun at Trunk-or-treat.  As we were walking around Marc said, “I really like this.”  We ended up with a good supply of chocolate which is all that I went for!

Crazy Boys

Life around our house is never dull.  Luke has started talking and has quite the personality.  When Marc isn’t here he is a gem, but Marc certainly knows how to bug Luke and he is starting to fight back.  They do play together, and by that I mean cause problems together!
