Yay for Jen!!!!

My sister Jennifer is engaged!!! She went to Arizona to visit Isac this week for spring break and we all thought he would propose while she was down there. Well he didn't and we were all so confused. Matt was about to call him and see what his deal was. Well Matt and I were talking about it before we went to bed and we weren't sure what was going on. Well we went to bed around 10 and were sleeping peacefully when we got a call from Jen. She told me she was on my doorstep, well I woke Matt up and we went to the door. Well I figured that she had really gotten engaged while she was in Arizona and wanted to surprise up. Well we opened the door and Jen came in, and then Isac came in too. Well we were shocked cause he was supposed to be in Arizona, and then showed us her ring (Isac had her get her nails done while she was visiting, now we know why). Well Isac has actually left Arizona before Jen did. She thought he was going to class, but he fooled her. She flew into Salt Lake and then drove home. They had devised a plan to get Jen to Isac's parents house and then he surprised her and proposed. He had "built a scrapbook thing" (as my dad put it) with pictures and other things detailing their relationship that he gave her. She was so happy and it was good to see them. We are excited for the wedding which is June 12.

Life in the Harris Home

Well tomorrow is Marc's 6th month birthday. We are not having a grand celebration, but I thought I would mention it. Marc is now 20 lbs 14 oz and 27 inches long. He is not a baby anymore and has a fun personality. He gives great hugs and is fun to be around. He is working on sitting up, and does pretty well, but is not quite there. One of the cutest things he does is cross his feet when he sits down and when he is eating. Marc also got a new car seat. He was getting to heavy to carry in his other one, so we decided it was time. We love Marc and are grateful for him.

Matt have enjoyed being able to go snowboarding a few times this winter. He has had some fun trips with his dad and also some friends from Washington. I even went once with him and had a great time. Matt has applied to schools for Physical Therapy. We are still waiting to see if he will get into any of them. Hopefully we will know by the end of April. We will keep you all posted. He graduates on April 10, and is counting down the days. He has started working construction again, and we hope that job will continue through the summer. He will also be working at a physical therapy office, so he should be busy.

I am just at home with Marc and am grateful for the opportunity to be with him. I am excited for spring to really be here (and for the snow to stop coming) so that we can go on walks together. Marc loves being outside, and I love how good he is when we are on walks, so it works for both of us! We just got a jogging stroller and I can't wait to be able to use it. I am excited for the fun summer we have planed, and hope to be able to see lots of family and friends.

Marc's Hair

Marc's hair had gotten a little out of control....

...and the day finally came where something had to be done about it. At 5 months and 2 days old he got his first hair cut.

It's a little shorter than I wanted it, but the hairdresser (me) doesn't really know what she is doing. He now looks so grown up, and I don't know where my baby went.

Grandparents, restaurants, and a tooth???

This last week was a fun one. Matt's parents came to see Marc. They got here Wednesday night and left today (Sunday). They boys (excluding Marc) went snowboarding/skiing twice and the girls spent the time shopping, trying to be creative, and just having a great time with Marc.

Saturday night we went out to eat and Marc sat in a high chair for the first time. He did okay, but he was a little short.

So Marc has been acting a little different than normal, he hasn't been eating like he normally does, and has been a little bit cranky. I thought it was just because he had been a little bit sick, but I was wrong. Today we were sitting in Relief Society and Matt's Mom was letting Marc suck on her finger because he was fussy. She told me that I better look in his mouth, because she though that he had a tooth. I was a little skeptical because he isn't even 5 months yet, but sure enough it's a tooth. I think another tooth is going to come tomorrow, but I will keep you all posted!!

I was talking to one of my friends who is from Albania. I told her about Marc's tooth, and she told me that in her country who ever finds a baby's first tooth has to buy the baby a new outfit. So Marc gets a new outfit from Grandma Harris. Yay!

Catch Up

Well I haven't posted for a while, so I am going to catch up. Last weekend we went to my parents and had some family pictures taken. I decided to have some of our family taken as well, and I am so glad I did cause I really like how they turned out.

This week Matt and I went to a Valentines Day Dance that our ward had, and I had so much fun. Matt tried to put up a fight, but I won and we went. It was so much fun to do my hair and get all dressed up. Matt and I are not really dancers, but we just played around. I was so dizzy and my feet were killing, but it was a blast.

And last but not least we tried feeding Marc rice cereal for the first time. He did okay, but I'm not sure how much he actually ate. Most of it just ended up on his bib. We will keep trying, and hopefully it will help him not be so hungry!

Free Book

So I was looking at random blogs and came across a link for a free book. I don't know if it will work, but I am going to give it a try. Click here to go to the blog. Hope it really works, and if it doesn't, sorry for the bad tip.

****I just went and tried to get another code, and the survey has ended :( sorry if you missed it.*****
