Marc

Marc continues to grow and learn new things each day. He is so much fun and we love him. He is constantly getting into things and eating things. I promise I feed him enough, but he always tries to eat things like raw potatoes and onions. I tried to help him out and gave him an apple instead. I thought he would chew on it a little and then loose interest, but he ate almost the whole thing. It was really funny to watch because he just left in on the ground and ate it.

Marc always seams to find either dirty or expensive things to try and eat. His two favorite things are the bathroom and computers, both of which we are trying to discourage. We have been a few hikes this summer and Marc loves it. He is always the most happy when we are outside. He is really starting to get around now, but is still not walking. He uses the furniture and any available person to help him get around.

We took him to an orthopedic surgeon today to look at his right foot which is turned inward. He told us that he needs corrective shoes which he will need to wear until he is two. So on Friday we are going to another doctor who will fit him for the shoes. My biggest fear is that they are only going to have really ugly shoes, but I guess I will just have to deal with it!!!

Reunion

Matt's family reunion (which we were in charge of)was this last week. It was so much fun and we loved being able to see all of him family. We stayed at a big cabin in Island Park. We built and floated cardboard boats, went on a hike, and sang campfire songs. It was a great reunion and I am looking forward to the next one in two years, and grateful that we are not in charge!!!

Trip to Oregon

So our trip was lots of fun, but I don't have anytime to write about it. I will just post lots of pictures and let them show what we did. Just as a note, Marc loved the ocean, and got very dirty in the process.

Jen is Married!!!

My sister Jennifer got married on the 12th. It was a rainy day, but it turned out to be just fine. It was a wonderful day, and we are grateful to have Isac as a brother-in-law.

Crazy Child

Marc never ceases to amaze me at what he can do. A few mornings ago Matt went to get him out of his bed and found him standing up. Today when I was folding laundry he climbed into the basket, sat there for a second, and then decided the other side looked good and dove out of the basket. We have some drawers in our kitchen that Marc loves to pull himself up on. First he would just kneel and play in the first drawer, then he would pull himself up and stand using the second drawer, then he realized that he could reach the third drawer, and now he tries his hardest to reach the top one, but can't quite reach it. One day when he was holding on to the third drawer to started pulling himself up on the drawer and he was just hanging from the drawer because he had lifted himself off the ground. Life is certainly crazy with him, but we love him and wouldn't have it any other way!!!

Feeding Ducks

We have a neat nature park by our house that has a walking path around some ponds. We go there often on walks and decided to take some bread to feed the ducks. Marc loved seeing the ducks and wanted to waddle (crawl) away with them.
