Easter and April Fool’s Day

This year Easter was a little low key because we had only been in our house for 5 days.  We went to an Easter egg hunt in a field of snow.  The hunt lasted about three minutes but the boys loved it.  My camera was dead so I didn’t get any pictures.  I charged my camera and got a few pictures when the Easter bunny came.  We went to church to our new ward on Sunday only to find it wasn’t really our ward.  The boys were sick so I took them home so they didn’t spread the sickness.  It wasn’t a normal Easter, but it was still nice to go to church and to remember our Savior.

Last year I made a tricky dinner for Marc on April Fool’s so he requested another one this year.  It wasn’t quite as funny because they already knew my tricks, but it was still fun.  We had juice (jello) green beans (laffy taffy) french fries and ketchup (pound cake and frosting) and a cupcake (meatloaf with mashed potatoes).

March truly flew by.  Here is a little recap.DSC01853
Missing your nap for church is exhausting.

These boys keep growing up and are awesome!

Boise

My Grandparents took us all to Boise for the High School Boys State Tournament to watch two of my cousins play.  We had a great time swimming and eating and even manage to make it through a few games.  It was a nice break before the moving fun started.

We also painted the basement and the bedrooms and one of the bathrooms.  We weren’t done with all our projects, so it was hard to leave the house “unfinished”, but I am proud of the work we put into the house and the difference we made.

We have moved!

Well surprise Mountain Home wasn’t to be where we would settle.  After being there 9 months, and buying a house Matt got another job offer and we decided to pack up again and move to Star Valley, Wyoming.  We were super sad to leave our first house that we put so much into and changed so much, and really hope it will sell fast.  We are also really sad to leave all the wonderful people we met and were friends with in Mountain Home, there are truly wonderful people there, and we will miss them so much.  Here is the view in front of our house, it is beautiful here and we are going to love the mountains! When your child uses your parenting strategies on you…

Tonight Marc was saying the bedtime prayer and Luke was being a stinker and wouldn’t sit down.  As I am pulling on Luke trying to convince him to sit down, Marc says without missing a breath, “and bless mom and Luke that they can be reverent while I am saying the prayer.”  Where have I heard that line before?
