Oh No!!!

I was getting ready for church and walked out into the front room to find this....

I think we may have a walker soon.

Hiking

Yesterday we went on a little hike. It was so fun to be outside enjoying the beautiful surroundings we have been given by our Heavenly Father. Marc loved it. He especially loved the stream that he played in.

Marc's First Swimming Experience

Our neighbor has a little swimming pool and filled it up the other day. It was a nice day, but it was still a little chilly. Still I was so excited and got Marc all ready to go swimming. He loves taking baths, so I thought he would love swimming. Well I can't say that he loved it, but I think he had fun. Actually I think I had more fun getting him all ready and taking pictures while he was in the pool!!

Pictures

Well I am a little behind, but a couple of weeks ago we had our neighbor take Marc's pictures. I am biased, but I think he looks so cute in them. Here are just a few. Well ok, I guess there are more than a few!!

Home Sweet Home

Well we spent this weekend in Firth, at my parents' house. It was a very fun, busy weekend. First on Friday night we went to a bridal shower for Jen at Isac's aunt's house. It was fun to meet some of his family and celebrate Jen's upcoming (very quickly upcoming!!!) wedding. The next morning we went to Jen's graduation from ISU.
She finished in 3 years, which is amazing. She doesn’t realize how amazing this is, and is kinda bumed because her degree is in university studies. But I say it is still amazing and kudos to her!!!

That night was Bec’s Junior Miss pageant. It was so fun to be there with my whole family and watch her perform. She is so cute and did such a good job. Marianne was actually still the reigning Junior Miss, so she did her little walk thing and it was fun to see that.

Bec did so good on her piano piece and I am so proud of her. She heard the song she played and decided that she wanted to play it. It was hard and she definitely put in the work to learn it.

I am so glad that all her hard work paid off. She won the talent portion, the scholastic, the interview, poise and also the over all title.

For poise she was given 1 of 6 questions. She had been practicing answers to each of them, but the one she was given was not one of the strong ones, we thought. She pulled out an amazing answer that blew us all away. Her question was something to the affect of why teens need the support of their peers. She told how she had been watching her nephew Marc earlier that day and had to go out and do some yard work. So she set marc on the grass and walked away. Marc looked around and realized that he was alone and started to cry. So she went and picked him up. She then said that in our lives we are sometimes like babies and need someone to wrap their arms around us and give us a hug. She did such a good job and I was so proud of her.

Like Father, Like Son

Well I think Marc has inherited his dad's love for salty things, especially chips. Tonight after dinner I left Marc in the front room for no more than one minute and I returned to find this....

Marc found the chips that had not been put away yet, and was chowing down. He obviously knows he is getting ripped off with rice cereal!!!
