Crazy Boys
Halloween Party
Progress on the yard
Yesterday we planted a tree and some flowers in the front yard, so I thought I would show a few before and after pictures.
This is what the front yard looked like when we bought the house.
This is what it looked like a few days ago.
Here is our new little tree and a few flowers.
It is fun to see the changes and we are excited to be working together to make our home beautiful.

Dang Squirrel
Our neighbor recently transplanted some flower with bulbs from her backyard around her mailbox in the front yard. Marc saw her working and went to see what she was doing. He helped her for a little bit. A few days later I noticed the bulbs had been unplanted and my neighbor said there was a squirrel that was getting into the flowers and pulling them out. This happened a few times and I kept wondering if this squirrel happened to be my son, but she kept saying it was a squirrel so I thought it must be. Yesterday Marc came in and said, “Mom that dang squirrel got those flowers again.” At this point I knew something was up so I grabbed him hands to look for dirt but they were clean. I thought maybe there was a squirrel, but I decided to push it further. I asked Marc if he was telling the truth and he said, “Will I get in trouble if I tell the truth?” Then I knew I had found the squirrel. After tears over loosing a treat, having to go and tell the neighbor what happened, and a family home evening on lying I hope the squirrel is gone for good.

Pumpkins
We got to go with Marc on a field trip for preschool and it was literally a field we went to. We went to a pumpkin patch and my boys had a blast. There was a giant straw pyramid and maze, a corn kernel filled box, and we even went on a ride behind a tractor. Of course my camera battery died, but here are a few pics.
Marc’s class
Luke didn’t know what to think about the corn here is his progression over about 5 minutes. It was funny to watch him but he eventually got in and loved it.
The race
Matt convinced me to run a race with him, when I say with him I mean we started at the same point and ended at the same point, but the distance in between was very different! Matt ran the 1/2 marathon and I did my very first 10k. I was so glad I did it and grateful to Matt for his support and encouragement. Matt did great and finished 4th overall and 1st in his age division. I just wanted to finish and I did, so it was a success.
It was a fun day to be together without our kids if nothing else.

I wanted to get better pictures after the race, but we were both too tired so we called it good and went home and took a nap!
