Grandparents, restaurants, and a tooth???

This last week was a fun one. Matt's parents came to see Marc. They got here Wednesday night and left today (Sunday). They boys (excluding Marc) went snowboarding/skiing twice and the girls spent the time shopping, trying to be creative, and just having a great time with Marc.

Saturday night we went out to eat and Marc sat in a high chair for the first time. He did okay, but he was a little short.

So Marc has been acting a little different than normal, he hasn't been eating like he normally does, and has been a little bit cranky. I thought it was just because he had been a little bit sick, but I was wrong. Today we were sitting in Relief Society and Matt's Mom was letting Marc suck on her finger because he was fussy. She told me that I better look in his mouth, because she though that he had a tooth. I was a little skeptical because he isn't even 5 months yet, but sure enough it's a tooth. I think another tooth is going to come tomorrow, but I will keep you all posted!!

I was talking to one of my friends who is from Albania. I told her about Marc's tooth, and she told me that in her country who ever finds a baby's first tooth has to buy the baby a new outfit. So Marc gets a new outfit from Grandma Harris. Yay!

Catch Up

Well I haven't posted for a while, so I am going to catch up. Last weekend we went to my parents and had some family pictures taken. I decided to have some of our family taken as well, and I am so glad I did cause I really like how they turned out.

This week Matt and I went to a Valentines Day Dance that our ward had, and I had so much fun. Matt tried to put up a fight, but I won and we went. It was so much fun to do my hair and get all dressed up. Matt and I are not really dancers, but we just played around. I was so dizzy and my feet were killing, but it was a blast.

And last but not least we tried feeding Marc rice cereal for the first time. He did okay, but I'm not sure how much he actually ate. Most of it just ended up on his bib. We will keep trying, and hopefully it will help him not be so hungry!

Free Book

So I was looking at random blogs and came across a link for a free book. I don't know if it will work, but I am going to give it a try. Click here to go to the blog. Hope it really works, and if it doesn't, sorry for the bad tip.

****I just went and tried to get another code, and the survey has ended :( sorry if you missed it.*****

4 months old

Marc went to the doctor today for his 4 month checkup and to get shots. He is growing and healthy. He weighs 18 1/2 pounds and is almost 26 inches long. I miss the days of carrying an 8 pound baby around, but it is worth it. Marc did really well with the shots. He cried for a few seconds, and the went back to sucking on his pacifier. The nurses even commented on how well he did. I did better this time too, I didn't shed one tear!! I was grateful that this time went better for both of us. Here are a few pictures I took at the doctor's office and then a couple just fun ones.

Marc Rolled Over!!!

Well we have been practicing rolling over and all our hard work finally paid off.

Last night we were trying to get Marc to roll over, but he kept getting tired and laying his head on the ground (which was so cute).

This morning I put him down on his stomach and within 30 seconds he had rolled over. Of course I only saw the very end of the roll, and Matt totally missed it, and Marc wouldn't do it again, but nevertheless, he rolled over!!!

Reading instead of rolling over again like mom and dad want.

Favorite Toy

Marc has found his favorite toy, it is a stuffed lion that my Grandpa Schiess gave him. He grabs it and instantly it goes to his mouth. It is fun to watch him grow and develop. Today Matt was talking to him and said, "I can't wait till you can give me hugs." I am excited for that too, but I also am loving each step that comes.

My dad came to visit tonight and was talking with Marc. He told Marc that he needed to be nicer to his mom and dad and not wake them up. Marc's bottom lip started to quiver and his eyes welled up with tears and he started to cry. It was sad, but at the same time kinda funny.
